Best AI voice tools

Voice listings cover three jobs: writing meeting notes, turning audio into text, and generating or editing speech. A text-to-speech product will not file action items, and a meeting bot will not clone a voice.

The meeting-notes guide is the shorter list for calls. This page includes that group plus the speech and transcription tools, still in alphabetical order inside each group.

How to choose

For notes from a call, use Otter, Fireflies, Fathom, or Granola. Granola does not put a bot in the meeting. For a transcript you process yourself, AssemblyAI is an API and Whisper is an open source model. For spoken output, ElevenLabs clones and generates speech, Murf makes voiceovers, and Speechify reads documents aloud. Descript is the editor: you change the transcript and the audio follows.

Notes from a meeting

These write a summary or action items. The meeting-notes guide compares them on bots, CRMs, and free allowances.

Transcription

AssemblyAI is a hosted API. Whisper is an open source model with no hosted product in this directory.

Speech and audio editing

ElevenLabs, Murf, and Speechify produce speech. Descript edits podcasts and video from the transcript.
